Jena and Kevin planned their engagement session in Nantucket, MA. It worked out perfectly for us, as we were already RVing in Cape Cod during the week they wanted to shoot.
A quick ferry ride to the quaint island nearby and it is as if we are in a different world.
Jen and Drew’s Wedding at the Liberty House Restaurant was nothing short of spectacular. What was more amazing the grand firework display overlooking the Manhattan Skyline or the gourmet donut station?
The mansion at Harkness Memorial Park is named Eolia Mansion. Eolia’ is actually named for the island home of the Greek god of winds. Perhaps when the Harkness’ bought the property and planned to build, it might have been really windy there in Waterford.
Diana and Brian were looking for a diverse landscape to have their engagement photos taken in, and we suggested one of the most beautiful places in Connecticut to experience that. (more…)
I had no idea. All the times I’ve been to Block Island for engagement or wedding photos; I’ve travelled via the ferry. The long… slow… ferry… Don’t get me wrong, it is a perfectly good way to get there, but now that I’ve flown there… things will forever be different.
Kelly and Jon wanted to do their pictures of their engagement series on the island of Block Island. Since so much of their time together is spent there, it seemed only fitting. The only problem was, I couldn’t commit the whole day necessary to accomplish it during the week they needed. I’m not sure if it was Kelly or Jon mentioned it, but they said; “Oh it only takes like 15 minutes to get there” Wait what? Long story short, they are frequent air travellers to Block Island and showed me the way. Now I’m not sure I can sit through a 2 hour boat ride ever again.
